Pure-N-Heart Music Ministry
At the direction of their Senior Pastor in Louisville, Kentucky, Walter & Charlene begin their journey in ministry as friends and ministry associates.
The Potter's House, Dallas
On August 8, 1998, the Smiths begin their faith-filled lives under Bishop T.D. Jakes — where seeds of destiny and purpose were deposited.
Faith-Based Consulting
Walter & Charlene launch their consulting practice with community and faith-based organizations, including the Maryland Lt. Governor's Faith Partnership Initiative.
PIHIM Incorporated
Pure In Heart Int'l Ministries, Inc. (PIHIM) and Global Legacy Entertainment, Inc. are formally birthed for the glory of God — continuing their Pauline ministry assignment.
The Vision Expands
On July 1, 2010, the Spirit of the Lord commissions Walter to establish The Center For Kingdom Advancement in Hollywood.
TCFKA Launches
The Center For Kingdom Advancement opens as the discipleship arm of PIHIM — an intergenerational, multi-cultural, nondenominational discipleship training center.
God has called me to give voice to His heart, and oppose the apostasy and apathy, by establishing a true representation of His kingdom through this church in the cultural landscape that shapes the entire world — Hollywood!

God's Original Intention
Be Fruitful, Multiply, Fill the Earth, Subdue It, and Have Dominion. God's Original Intention after the fall of man was restored through Christ's finished work at Calvary — now the Body of Christ must enforce His will on earth as it is in heaven.
Satan's Scheme: To convince the world that God doesn't care, doesn't exist, and doesn't understand our human struggle.
The Demonic Seduction
Through the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — Satan seeks to entice humanity from the path of purpose, by flattery and deception and blinding their minds.
Satan's Scheme: To devalue and deface all of mankind made in the image and after the likeness of God.
The Kingdom Contention
The intense battle of strategic demonic warfare within the heart and mind for knowing our true identity, purpose and function — that works to establish a decision focused on claiming our God-ordained place and rightful inheritance.
Satan's Scheme: To kill, to steal, and to destroy as many human beings as possible before his pending judgment.
The Cultural Dimension
God's redemptive plan for One New Man in Christ is being established throughout the earth — through every available, dependent, and surrendered vessel that undergoes development through discipleship and suffering for righteousness' sake.
Satan's Scheme: To distract humanity from assuming the position in life that would rightfully align their lives with God.
The Believer's Conviction
As Manifesting Sons in the Kingdom of God, our primary duty is to live life by faith, with such commitment to our conviction in relationship with Jesus Christ that the world around us cries out for His saving grace and power.
Satan's Scheme: To deceive God's children with temporal matters and mixture that minimizes the effectiveness of their witness.

The Prophetic Significance

Every element of the PIHIM crest carries deep prophetic meaning — a declaration of the ministry's identity, calling, and purpose in the Kingdom of God.
The Heart
The "spiritual heart" is the core or seat of all human emotion, affection, desire, and love — the origination of true thoughts, ideas, passions, and the human will. As the light source of the body, the heart represents the temple seat of one's God. Matthew 5:8: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."
The Tree
The "tree" represents the strength and fortification of a grounded life centered in Christ. The leaves provide the nesting place for the curious seekers and developing disciples. Trees signify fluency in revelatory speech and nourishment from a healthy root system. "We shall be like trees planted by the rivers of water." — Psalm 1
The Crown
The "crown" represents the royal distinction and the highest level of achievement — an emblem of victory worn as a badge of honor. There is only one King of kings and Lord of lords — Jesus Christ. "The kingdoms of this world shall become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ."
The Star of David
The Star of David represents God's eternal goodness, unending mercy, and faithfulness for the State of Israel and the Jewish People since His initial call to Abraham. PIHIM is committed to unwavering prayers and support for the Jewish State: "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem."
The Dove
The "dove" represents the presence and power of God — an invitation to the Holy Spirit to rest, rule, and reign in absolute authority over the plans, priorities, and positioning of Christ's extended ministry; and the authenticating marking of His wisdom, grace, and virtue.
Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.

Legal Structure
Pure In Heart International Ministries, Inc. (PIHIM) operates as a church and association of churches under the protections of IRC § 508(c)(1)(A) — affording automatic federal tax-exempt status without IRS recognition or annual filings.
Section 508(c)(1)(A) — Automatic Tax-Exempt Status
Churches, integrated auxiliaries, and associations of churches
Section 508 of the Internal Revenue Code outlines special rules for organizations seeking 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. While most nonprofits must apply to the IRS using Form 1023 or 1023-EZ to gain recognition, 508(c)(1)(A) exempts certain religious organizations from this requirement. Specifically, it applies to churches, integrated auxiliaries of churches, and conventions or associations of churches. These organizations are automatically considered tax-exempt under 501(c)(3) without filing for official recognition, and they are not required to submit annual Form 990 tax returns.
IRS Code & Rules for Umbrella Organizations
26 U.S.C. § 508(c)(1)(A) — Notice and presumption exemptions
Under 26 U.S.C. § 508(c)(1)(A), the notice and presumption rules in §§ 508(a) and (b) do not apply to churches, their integrated auxiliaries, and conventions or associations of churches. This means that such organizations are automatically exempt from the 15-month notice requirement in § 508(a) (filing Form 1023 within 15 months of organization) and the presumption of private foundation status in § 508(b) unless they affirmatively notify the IRS they are not a private foundation.
In Summary
508(c)(1)(A) is a special provision that allows churches and certain religious organizations to operate as tax-exempt entities with minimal IRS oversight, preserving both administrative simplicity and constitutional protections for religious expression.
